The Walk To End Alzheimer’s has announced the date for its Volunteer Kickoff Party for 2020.
The event will be held on Tuesday, February 25 at Hub Coffee in the 2nd Floor meeting room from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Lunch and drawing prizes will be available. People with various business backgrounds, talents and areas of experience who would like to make a difference are encouraged to attend.
There are numerous opportunities available for those interested in volunteering. Virtual training and flexible options for those with busy schedules are offered. The average time commitment is 3 to 5 hours per month. The 2020 Walk To End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, August 29 at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa.
The Walk To End Alzheimer’s is held annually in over 600 communities across the nation to raise awareness and funds for care, support and research. There is no fee to register, though the Alzheimer’s Association encourages people to engage in fundraising opportunities when possible.
