Twin Cedars all-state pitcher Otis Roby will continue his baseball career at Southeastern Community College. The senior signed his letter of intent Thursday morning at the high school.
As a junior, Roby led the Sabers to an undefeated season and the Class 1A state championship. He posted a 10-0 record and an 0.22 ERA, striking out 109 batters and only walking 11 in 64 2/3 innings. Opposing batters hit only .129 against him.
Roby was no slouch at the plate either, playing shortstop when he wasn’t on the mound. He led Twin Cedars with a .515 batting average, hitting three home runs and driving in 54.
Roby still has one more summer to pitch for the Sabers, when he’ll try to lead them to a second straight championship.
