Tom Thomas, 66, of Ottumwa died at 8:45 p.m. October 2, 2020 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
He was born March 28, 1954 in Ottumwa to George and Betty Cloke Thomas. He married Paula Moore and they had been married for 28 years.
A resident of Ottumwa all his life, Tom had worked at Everco for 23 years.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing, gaming and playing the lottery, having won big on 2 tickets during his life.
Surviving is his wife, Paula; two daughters, Tabitha Wymer (Tony Sheehan), Bobbi-Jo Thomas, both of Ottumwa; a step-son, Scott (Amy) Allen of Ottumwa; a step-daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Dewar of Roscoe, IL; seven grandchildren, Joey, Jillian, Alana, Scott, Logan, Alex, Zach; a brother, Mike (Sandie) Thomas of Ottumwa; two sisters, Suellen (Chuck) Johnson of New London, Denise (Richard) Ritz of Oklahoma; his mother, Betty; his beloved dog, Tinkerbelle.
He was preceded in death by his father, George and a sister, Cheri Janney.
Limited open visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Private funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hornback officiating. For those unable to attend the service, you may watch the service live from the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Cremation will follow the service.
