Tige Andrew Chance was born on January 23, 1971, in Fairfield, IA to Richard and Sharon Ragen Chance. He attended Cardinal Community Schools where he was a gifted athlete in baseball, football, and track and graduated with the class of 1989. Tige went on to further his education and play both football and baseball at Upper Iowa University for the UIU Peacocks, graduating in 1993. Tige was someone who loved the outdoors and being in nature. He always wanted to be in the country. He enjoyed riding his three and four wheelers, hunting, fishing, mushrooming, and working in his garden. Tige had a special place in his heart for animals of any kind, but his happiest moments were spent hanging out with family and friends, especially Dustin and the girls. Tige’s time here with us was too short, but the impact that he made during the time he was given will be remembered by his family and many, many friends.
Tige was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold (Frances) Ragen and Ivan (Maxine) Chance, and one uncle, Warren Ragen.
Left to share his story are his parents, Richard (Sharon) Chance of Eldon, IA; a brother, Tony (Sonia) Chance; special niece and nephews who he thought the world of, Johnna (Brady) Kelsey, Tanner (Ashlyn) Chance, and Kade Chance; great niece and nephews, Hadley, Elijah, and Isaiah, who he adored; Tige’s longtime devoted friend, Dustin (Kristina) LaRue and “his” (girlies), Summer and Kyra whom Tige was very proud of and loved, as well as many extended family and a host of friends.
He will be forever, so deeply missed.
