Sue Ellen Sedore, 65 of Milton passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.  Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday January 17, 2023 at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Kevin Mote officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.  Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton.  Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 105 North Van Buren Street, Milton, IA 52570

Sue was born on June 4, 1957 in Keosauqua to James W. and Mary Jane (Spilman) Hargrove.  She had lived in Milton her entire life.  Sue graduated from Fox Valley High School in 1975 and then went on to attend Indian Hills Community College nursing program, she graduated with an LPN degree in 1976.

After graduating, she started work at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.  Sue married Willian D. Sedore on November 5, 1976 in Milton and the two of them started their family together.  After several years of being a nurse at the hospital Sue left and started working at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.  She was at the nursing home for 20 years.  She worked for a while at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield before returning back to Van Buren County Hospital from which she retired in 2018.  Sue was a former member of the United Methodist Women in Milton.  Sue was a born caregiver and was always there to reach out a helping hand wherever it was needed. She enjoyed cooking, baking, counted cross stitch, crochet, flowers and roses but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, William Sedore, a son, John Sedore (Holly), a daughter, Jennifer Sedore all of Milton, two brothers, James Hargrove of Milton and Andy Hargrove (Mia) of Kahoka, MO, two sisters, Joyce Egli of Longview, Tx and Linda Gittins of Bloomfield, three grandchildren, Autumn, Remington and Bill Garner, a great-granddaughter, Ember Fulton, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Luallin and an infant brother, Bill Hargrove.
