Investigations into the two (2) thefts were conducted.

On February 1st, 2019 Deputies recovered the Polaris UTV at a residence in the northern portion of Davis County, Iowa.

On February 4th, 2019 Deputies recovered the Can-Am UTV at a residence in the 20,000 block of Bluegrass Road in Wapello County, Iowa.

Both UTV’s have been returned to their rightful owners.

The investigations into the separate thefts are still on-going, with criminal charges expected.

Davis County Sheriff’s Office assisted Deputies in recovering one of the UTV’s.

I also want to encourage citizens to contact the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office whenever you see something out of the ordinary or suspicious. If possible, try to relay as much information as possible such as vehicle description, direction of travel, and license plate information if possible. Information from the public is often times the lead Law Enforcement needs when working criminal cases.
