Stephen “Steve” Mark Keller age 65 of Fairfield, passed Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Jefferson County Health Center.

Visitation for family & friends will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2023, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Spencer Cemetery, Stockport, Iowa.

A memorial has been established and mailed to Kim Keller, 2340 Mint Boulevard, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Steve was born February 2, 1958, in Fairfield to Mark and Twila (Johnson) Keller.  He married Kimberly Heston June 16, 1979.  This last year they celebrated 43 years of marriage.

Steve graduated from Fairfield High School and went onto college at Ellsworth Community College to receive his AA degree in agriculture.  He was a welder, farmer and was also known as a handy man, as he could fix anything.  Steve served on the Fairfield Little League Board and Farmers Market Board.  He and Kim have been a vendor for many years at the Farmers Market.  Steve was a big Trojan supporter and spent many years supporting his daughters in their sports and activities.  Most recently he enjoyed following his grandkids who are just starting sports.  Some of Steve’s interests were gardening, fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, woodworking and following the Iowa Hawkeyes.  Most important to Steve was being able to spend time with his family.

He will be missed by his wife, Kim Keller of Fairfield; three daughters, Chelsey (Rodger) Blum of Martelle, Iowa, Megan Hines of Richland and Hanna Keller of Fairfield; four grandchildren, Brooklyn Hines, Addison Blum, Sawyer Blum and Paisley Blum; his mother, Twila Keller of Fairfield; two siblings, Phyllis (Dave) Freeman of Fairfield and Alan (Kathy) Keller of Pleasant Hill; sister-in-law, Sandra Keller; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mark; brother, Mike Keller and infant brother, Billy.
