A southeast Iowa man is facing charges following an incident that occurred early Sunday morning in Keosauqua.
The Van Buren County sheriff’s department says shortly before 3:00 a.m. it received a report of an assault at the State Line rally at the Van Buren County fairgrounds.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered two adult males were involved in an incident that resulted in one person being stabbed in the leg.
Following an investigation a 27 year old What Cheer man Ivan Short was arrested at a house in Bonaparte and charged with willful injury. He is being held in the Van Buren County Jail on a 5-thousand dollar bond. Additional charges are pending.
