Salvation Army Receives Additional Red Kettle Donation

The Salvation Army in Ottumwa announced an extra contribution to its Red Kettle Drive.

On Monday, Ottumwa South Hy-Vee presented a check of $1,042 to the non-profit.

Envoy Joel Arthur says South Hy-Vee offered customers the option of donating while checking out. In a statement, Arthur expressed his gratitude.

“With this gift and partnership with HyVee South, we’ve reached 116% of our goal and are grateful to the generosity of HyVee and their customers,” arthur said.

The contribution increased the grand total of the Red Kettle Drive to $58,252. Arthur says the money will stay in the community and provide services for residents in Wapello and Davis County.
