Registration Deadline For Future Ready Iowa Extended

The deadline to register for the 2019 Future Ready Iowa Summit has been extended.

Registration for the 2019 Future Ready Iowa Summit is now open until April 23 at 10 a.m.  The summit this year is titled “STEM Education + Workplace Partnerships.” Registration as well as additional information can be found at

The statewide event, open to the public, takes place on April 30th at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. Employers and educators will come together to learn about work-based learning and STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) going on across the state, as well as focus on how to expand those opportunities to all students. The event is hosted by the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council.

Featured speakers include former astronaut Peggy A. Whitson and Pallavi Verma, senior managing director U.S.-Midwest for Accenture. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds will announce the names of six low income elementary schools selected to receive a total of $300,000 in grants through the Computer Science is Elementary Project.
