Practical Farmers of Iowa (PFI) will be holding a free screening of a documentary on Tuesday evening.
The feature-length film entitled “Livestock on the Land” covers regenerative grazing and its promise for the Iowa landscape. According to a press release, the screening was made possible due to a partnership with Blakesburg farmer Bart VerEllen and local landowner Shirley Waite, both of whom are featured in the film.
The screening will take place at the Pioneer Ridge Nature area in Bloomfield at 6:30 PM on October 19th. It will be held outside and guests are invited to bring blankets and chairs for comfortable viewing. Snacks will be provided.
Afterward, there will be a panel discussion with the hosts.
Since its debut in January, the film has grossed over 118,000 views on YouTube and serves as an introduction to PFI’s vision for Iowa’s landscape: an Iowa with healthy soil, food, clean air, clean water, resilient farms, and vibrant communities.
