Pastor LuEllen Maxine “Peach” Worth, 88, of Ottumwa died at 7:43 p.m. March 5, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Society -Ottumwa.
She was born November 12, 1933 in Ottumwa to James Henry and Sylvia Irene Humble Huddleston Sr. She married Marvin W. Worth January 7, 1951 and he preceded her in death April 25, 2019.
A 1951 graduate of Ottumwa High School, she later attended Ottumwa Heights. She worked for Red Dot Potato Chips, Giant Foods and for the Iowa Department of Human Services. She had attended First Pentecostal Assembly of God and Maranatha Faith Center before starting Way of Peace Ministries June 10, 1990. She has been the Pastor of Way of Peace Ministries for over 30 years.
Pastor LuEllen cherished sharing the word of Jesus. She loved her congregation and especially her family. Spending time with her family was very important. She always remembered all of her family members birthdays.
Surviving are her children, Pam Frederick- McKnight of Arlington, TX, Dennis “Chic” Worth of Ottumwa and Brad (Lisa) Worth of Kirksville, MO; nine grandchildren, Diana Barnes, Jennifer Rich, Aaron Jones, Jon Gaule, Greg Frederick, Lindsay Worth, Wensday Worth, Ben Gibson Amy Strohmeyer; nine great grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Karen Gaule and Linda Jones; two sisters, Ruth Bridgman and Marianne Pantano; a brother, Jim Huddleston Jr.; five half siblings, Olive Briden, Hallabell Jones, Carl Huddleston, Earl Huddleston and Walter Huddleston.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 11th at Reece Funeral Home with her granddaughter, Diana Barnes officiating.
