An Ottumwa trio stand accused of burglary following an incident in the morning hours of June 28th.
According to court records, at approximately 9:10 a.m. on June 28, three individuals were seen on security camera footage entering Don’s Auto on Madison Street. The two male suspects were seen removing items from the inside of a vehicle on the property while the female suspect was observed standing near the vehicle. According to the incident report, at least one of the male individuals was seen to have a non-concealed handgun on the right side of his waist. The individuals were also confronted by an employee of the business who asked the trio why they on the property.
The three individuals have been identified as 19 year old Ted Gene Criswell III, 30 year old Ashleigh Dawn Messer, and 33 year old Trevor James Miller. The three have each been charged with 1st Degree Burglary/Joint Criminal Conduct, a Class B Felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
