Ottumwa Police Part of Drug Investigation that Led to Arrests

Ottumwa Police Department, Southeast Iowa Inter Agency Drug Task Force and the Iowa Department of Public Safety Division of Narcotics Enforcement held an investigation resulting in two substantial arrests on January 9.

First was Douglas David Horn, 56 of Burlington, IA who was found with one pound of methamphetamine and a loaded handgun. His arrest was followed by the execution of a search warrant on his vehicle where they found another half pound of methamphetamine and over 20,000 dollars. Then another search warrant was executed on his home where they found more methamphetamine, marijuana and 164 dosage units of (suspected) ecstasy (MDMA).

Horn was charged with Felony in Possession of a Firearm (Class D Felony), Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony) and Possession with the Intent to Deliver More Than 5 grams of Methamphetamine (Class B Felony).

Lisa Anne King, 50, was also arrested for Prohibited Acts- Possession of Methamphetamine (a Serious Misdemeanor). Both have been released on bond.
