Angela Waltz, an Ottumwa High School Alumni and Eddyville native, was named and inducted into the Hy-Vee Hall of Fame in the company’s annual stockholder’s meeting in December.

According to a release from Hy-Vee, Waltz was nominated for this honor by her peers, who noted her willingness to be a team player and get the job done. She is known to be extremely hardworking and dedicated. They said those qualities and others all contributed to her induction into the Hy-Vee Hall of Fame.

Hy-Vee Chairman, CEO and President Randy Edeker saluted Waltz for her energy and enthusiasm as she leads the Wahlburgers initiatives and continues to grow in this new and exciting endeavor in the press release.

“Anegla’s leadership style deserves recognition,” Edeker said. “She is a great asset to our company and well-deserving of being named to the Hy-Vee Hall of Fame as our Officer of the Year for Operations.”

Waltz received her associate degree from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. She then went on to become a resturant manager in the Urbandale store and was quickly promoted over the following years.

“When I joined HyVee six years ago, I never could’ve dreamed of the opportunities that would be presented to me. Thus far in my career with HyVee, I’ve had many opportunities to grow and learn from some of the great individuals within our organization,” Waltz said. “It is truly an honor to join an elite group of HyVee’s leaders in the HyVee Hall of Fame.”
