Ottumwa Man Faces Multiple Felonies Following 2020 Raid


An Ottumwa man faces multiple felony charges stemming from a search warrant executed last year.

Court documents say the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Task Force carried out the warrant on November 20th, 2020, at a residence on North Court Street in Ottumwa. 30-year-old Darrell Jones was present at the time and law enforcement found approximately 600 grams of marijuana, two handguns, packing materials, digital scales, and a large amount of currency.

Jones was arrested on Friday, April 30th in connection to the above incident. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver, felon in possession of a firearm, and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, all Class D felonies.

Jones was transported to the Wapello County Jail and is currently free after posting bond. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 20th.
