The Historic Preservation Commission in Ottumwa is launching new online resources for the benefit of the community.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Historic Preservation Commission in Ottumwa is expanding its online presence. The new webpage, www.cityofottumwa.org/preservation, now includes a record of local nominations to the National Register of Historic Places, news about historic preservation in Ottumwa, and a virtual guided tour.
“the coronavirus pandemic has been an opportunity to do something we have needed to do for a long time: reach people in new ways.” said commission chair dennis willhoit.
The guided tour is powered by Google Maps and can be found at www.cityofottumwa.org/preservation.
