The Ottumwa Christian School has revealed its state mandated Return to Learn plan.
In a press release, the school stated its belief that students learn best in a face to face environment, in addition to such a setting being the best for spiritual, emotional, social, and mental health as well. As such, they have adopted a plan that best suits a face to face learning environment.
Highlights of the plan include a 6 foot social distancing policy taking lunch and recess into account, hand sanitizing stations, water bottle refill stations, personal protective equipment, and temperature checks prior to entering the building. Additionally, there will be no sharing of school supplies and elementary and secondary classes will utilize different entrance doors. Google Classroom will be utilized as their online platform in the event of a shift to online learning.
More information about the plan can be found on the Ottumwa Christian School Facebook page.
