A three-car accident in Oskaloosa claimed the life of a motorist and injured three others Friday night.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, at 10:03 PM, a Chevy Equinox driven by 74-year-old Alan Buitenwerf of Worth, Illinois was traveling southbound on Highway 63 when it crossed the center line and struck a northbound GMC Sierra driven by 40-year-old Jamie Buckley of New Sharon.
The accident report states the Sierra then crossed into northbound traffic and collided head-on with a Dodge Ram driven by 83-year-old Billy Brubaker of Eldora.
Buckley was transported to the hospital but died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Billy Brubaker, Joan Brubaker, and Robin Buitenwerf suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital where their respective statuses remain unknown.
