The Ottumwa High School has announced additional clarification on device distribution for the upcoming school year.
All 9th graders and new students attending OHS for the 2020-2021 school year can pick up their Chromebook on Thursday, August 13 between 8 – 10 a.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. This will be a drive-through only event. An alternate pick-up date is set for Thursday, August 20 during the same time frames. Students who are unable to attend these days should access the district website to arrange an alternate date and time.
Students must register for the upcoming school year before they receive a computer. Upon completion of the registration process, they will be sent a confirmation e-mail containing a barcode and a confirmation code. Parents and students are advised to bring a copy of the code either digitally or on paper.
OHS became a 1:1 school during the 2019-20 school when each student received a school-issued Chromebook for their use. The district also uses the Clever portal to house all digital resources for both students and staff.
