A wreck in Mahaska County sent two men to the hospital Monday afternoon.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 54-year-old John Grahek of Oskaloosa was driving a pickup truck and stopped in the northbound lane to make a left turn off Highway 63.
Authorities say a semi-truck driven by Tony Raske of Alden, 45, was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck Grahek’s vehicle from behind. The impact caused the pickup truck to enter the southbound lane and collide with another semi driven by 26-year-old Mitch Huffman of Council Bluffs.
Grahek and Huffman were injured in the crash and transported to Mahaska County Hospital. Their current condition is unknown.
The accident is still under investigation.
