Marjory Mullikin changed her address on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. She was born Marjory Faye Crawford to Charles and Dorothy (Myers) Crawford on June 10, 1937 in a farmhouse in Wapello County, north of Ottumwa. Marjory was the oldest of five children. She and Willis were in the same grade in Pleasant Plain School through the eighth grade. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1955. She grew up about a mile down the road from her future husband Willis Mullikin who she married at the Pleasant Plain Friends Church on May 26, 1957. 

She began training at Burlington Hospital School of Nursing after high school in Sept of 1955. Marjory graduated from nursing in 1958. She began working at Jefferson County Hospital in October of 1958. In 1959 Marjory took time off over the next couple years to have children and then began working again in October of 1963. She retired in 1998.

Marjory loved being part of family activities and supporting her kids in their school and extra-curricular activities, sports, musicals. She was the go-to person when it came to organizing family gatherings.

She was an avid reader. She greatly enjoyed camping with the family, many summers the family would be down by the river fishing and camping every other week when Marjory was off work. 

She was a member of Fairfield Friends Church and Pleasant Plains Friends. For several years Marjory volunteered at the Fairfield Friends Church youth ministry, helping serve meals.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stephen (Janet) Mullikin of Broken Arrow, OK, Carole Mullikin of Fairfield, IA, Denise (Arnold) Weirup of Fairfield, Diane (Larry) Keller of Fairfield, and Alan (Sheryl) Mullikin of LeGrand, IA. Her grandchildren: Elizabeth, Rachel (Nick), Sarah (Jimmie), Trent (Mandy), Bryce (Desirée), Daniel, Tyler, Jeffrey (Allison), Sharese (Ross), Kyle, Krystal, and Kayla. She is also the great-grandparent of ten. She is also survived by siblings, Brother-in-law Bert Fairchild, brother Melvin Crawford, sister Linda (Keith) Morgan, and brother Gene (Karen) Crawford. 

Marjory was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Willis, her parents, her sister Charlene, sister-in-law Dorothy, and her two grandchildren, Brian and Jessica Keller.

Visitation for family & friends will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Fairfield Friends Church with Pastors Alan Mullikin and John Wilbur officiating.  Burial will follow the luncheon at Hillcrest Cemetery, Brighton, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairfield Friends Church, LeGrand Friends Church or Barclay Bible College.  They may be mailed to Carole Mullikin, 302 East Jefferson, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.
