(Fairfield) – On 05/14/2014, Fairfield Police Department officers executed a search warrant at 409 E. Hempstead Avenue. A large grow operation was located inside the residence and over 100 plants, suspected to be marijuana, were seized. A large amount of evidence was also seized and the investigation is ongoing.
Campbell John Hair, 63, of that address was charged with Manufacturing Marijuana within 1,000 feet of a School (Class D Felony), Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance – (Marijuana) (Class D Felony), Drug Tax Stamp Violation (Class D Felony), Keeping a Dwelling for the Purpose of Keeping, Possessing, Selling, or Using a Controlled Substances – (Aggravated Misdemeanor), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor). There could be additional charges filed at the end of this investigation.
