Marc Roe to Seek Re-election to City Council

By Ellis Codjoe, August 12, 2019

An Ottumwa city council member has announced he will seek another term this November.

Marc Roe made the declaration on his Facebook page last week. In his post, Roe highlighted the progress he feels Ottumwa has made in public safety, infrastructure, and transparency. Roe concluded his statement by asking for voters’ support.

“…I have decided that I will seek re-election for the Ottumwa City Council this fall. I hope that I have served the voters of Ottumwa well, and that I have earned your trust that I will continue to fight, without prejudice, to ensure that Ottumwa will reach the potential that all of our residents deserve.

With humility, and the honor to have served you for this last 3 and a half years, I ask for your support once again this fall.”

Roe’s entire statement can be read here.

Roe was elected to the city council for his first term on November 2015. The deadline for city council nominees to submit their paperwork is August 29.
