Lottie Lucille Robinson, age 102, of Moravia, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Monroe County Hospital in Albia.
Lucille was born on July 14, 1920 to Frank Augustus and Ida Frances (Stevens) Cox. Lucille was united in marriage to John William “Bill” Robinson on July 18, 1936. To this union, they had four children, Carolyn Joyce-deceased, Ronald Dean-deceased, Carol Marie, and Billy Gene.
Lucille made quilts for all of her family and friends. She always looked forward to making all of the new babies’ baby quilts. She crocheted rugs for all the families’ houses, and for anyone who needed them. There was always some kind of “hand work” beside her chair.
Lucille will be missed by her many friends and family.
Left to cherish Lucille’s memory are her children, Carol (Raymond) Johnson of Moravia and Billy Robinson of Moravia; grandchildren, David (Kim) Johnson, Terri (Bob) Blackburn, Penny (Bob) McDanel, Billie Robinson, Dustie (Kevin) Argenta, and Russell Robinson; 12 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Robinson; her children, Carolyn Joyce and Ronald Dean; her parents, Frank and Ida Cox. Lucille was the last of the eight children, brothers, Carl, Billy and Burdett, and sisters, Marie, Millie, Alice and Mary.
Per Lucille’s wishes, a Graveside Service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia with Pastor Dennis Doud officiating.
