Laura Ann Spencer, 54, of Ottumwa, died at 7:35 a.m. April 12, 2022 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.
She was born January 12, 1968 in Ottumwa to Larry and Margaret Kautman Schweitzer. Laura married Robert “Bob” Spencer and they later divorced.
Laura was a graduate of American Institute of Business as a medical transcriptionist.
Surviving are her children, Lindsay Spencer and Brandon Spencer both of Ottumwa; her parents, Larry and Margaret Schweitzer of Ottumwa; two brothers, Gary Schweitzer of Rock Island, IL and Randy (Jayne) Schweitzer of Hedrick.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Schweitzer.
Visitation will be open at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 14th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 15th at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Gloria Dovre officiating. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
