ELDON, IA – It’s time to announce the KTWA Athlete of the Week, brought to you by Pella Regional Therapy in Ottumwa. Physical, occupational, speech, and aquatic therapy, located at the Ottumwa YMCA.
The KTWA Athlete of the Week is: Cardinal football player Griffin Greiner. The junior helped lead the Comets to their first playoff win in program history, leading Cardinal in receiving with four receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown in Friday night’s 38-29 win at Pekin. Greiner also scored one rushing touchdown and led the Comets with 12 tackles in the team’s first victory against the Panthers since 1974. Cardinal will take on Sigourney-Keota tomorrow night in Sigourney for the second round of the playoffs with kickoff scheduled for 7:00.
