KRKN Senior of the Week: Brayden Black, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont

Since our Ottumwa Radio Group Athlete of the Week feature has been put on hold due to the cancellation of the Spring sports season, we have decided to recognize Seniors at area high schools for the time being! With that said, the KRKN Senior of the Week is: Brayden Black, a now graduate of Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont High School.

During his four years at EBF, Brayden lettered all four seasons in football for the Rockets. His favorite high school memory comes from the gridiron as well as he and his teammates ended a 12-year losing streak versus Albia this past Fall. Black was a staple throughout his career on both the offensive and defensive lines for EBF.

Off the field, Brayden has always had an interest in business which is what he will study when he begins college at Indians Hills this Fall. His goal is to hopefully one day own his own farm, produce shop, or similar business.

When asked what advice he would give to underclassmen, Black said, “Don’t take time for granted…It still hasn’t even really hit me yet (that high school is over).”

Ottumwa Radio Group’s Senior of the Week feature is made possible by the generosity of Shawn McCarty and State Farm Insurance. Join us in congratulating Brayden Black, the KRKN Senior of the Week!
