Kay Bride

Kay Frances Bride, 81, of Ottumwa died at 8:12 a.m. October 21, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.

She was born December 15, 1936 in Kirkville, IA to Bennie and June Beckham Cloyd Sr. She married Clinton Williams in 1950 and they later divorced. She married Jerry Richard Bride May 3, 1975 in Greentop, MO and he preceded her in death March 23, 2017.

A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she had worked as a waitress for Howells’s Café and Heady’s. She had also worked as a laborer at Universal Rundle and Standard Kollsman in Ottumwa.

She was a member of Last Days Ministries and had been a member of Pony Express for many years.

Kay loved crafting and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Connie (Randy) Crow of Hedrick, Julie (Randy) Vannoy of Farson, Randy (Kim) Williams of Moravia; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Garry Shepherd officiating.  Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Visitation will begin 10 a.m. Thursday with the family present one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
