John Edward Bullock, 75, of Ottumwa, died at 1:22 p.m. April 23, 2021 at home.
John was born September 13, 1945 in Ottumwa to John Benjamin and Eleanor Clarkson Bullock. He married Diana Drew in 1963 and they later divorced. He married Linda Fisher on July 9, 1972 and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2013.
A 1964 graduate of Ottumwa High School and a graduate of Indian Hills Community College, John had served with the U.S. Army. He worked at Hormel until they closed and then worked at Lowden Machinery in Fairfield, retiring in 2003.
He loved working outdoors, going camping and his Ford Mustangs.
Surviving are his children, Scott Bullock of Ottumwa, Shawn Allen-Bullock (Cheri) of Albia, Joe Bullock (Stacie) and Angela Shepler-Allen (Ken) both of Ottumwa; 6 grandchildren, Taran, Brandon, Shelby, Bryce, Tanner and Bradley; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, David Bullock of Sigourney and Danny Bullock of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Woody Clarkson.
His body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
John’s wish was for everyone to do a good deed for someone.
Memorials may be made to the family or Hospice serving Davis and Wapello Counties.
