A grocery store chain will be restoring a policy that gave certain customers a chance to shop in a less crowded store in response to the rise of positive COVID-19 cases.
Hy-Vee announced Monday morning it will reinstate a time reserved for customers who are considered “high risk.”
The reserved hour will be from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and will be allocated to the following customers:
- Age 60 or older
- Expectant mothers
- Anyone with an underlying health condition that makes him/her more susceptible to serious illnesses
In a press release, Hy-Vee asked that other customers respect the time reserved for at-risk customers and limit their shopping to before or after the special hour.
