Fire At Fairfield High School


A fire was reported at the Fairfield High School on Wednesday morning.

At approximately 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the Jefferson County / Fairfield Dispatch Center received a call regarding smoke in the building at the Fairfield High School. All Fairfield Emergency Services arrived on the scene by 9:40 a.m.

The emergency service members worked with Fairfield Community School District officials to ensure that students and faculty were evacuated and safe. No injuries were reported and there is no known threat to the safety of the public.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
