Fatal crash in Davis County

4587[1]A single car crash in Davis County early Saturday morning killed one area teen and injured 4. The Iowa State Patrol says that Rocky Lee, 19 of Floris was driving his 2003 Ford F150 at a high rate of speed when he crested a hill and lost control. His truck entered the ditch, began to roll, and continued across a small creek. Three of the five teens in the truck were ejected, nobody was wearing a seatbelt.

Injured are the driver, Rocky Lee of Floris, Hunter Collins, 20 of Blakesburg, Amanda Carr, 16 of Pulaski, and Austin Ridgeway, 19 of Lancaster, MO. The Iowa State Patrol says that Mariah Nerice Marshall, 17 of Bloomfield was killed. Lee and Carr were transported by Davis County Ambulance to the Davis County Hospital, and Collins and Ridgeway were transported by Aircare to the University of Iowa Hospitals.

The Iowa State Patrol and Davis County Shheriff’s Department continue to investigate, and charges are pending.
