The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a series of legislative forums for Jefferson County residents.
The first legislative forum in a series of four will be held on Saturday, February 15th from 7:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at the Boarders Inn & Suites, formerly the Best Western Fairfield Inn. Legislators will make brief statements then proceed to open Q&A which will be moderated by Fairfield Chamber CEO Darien Sloat. The event is free and open to the public. Coffee and donuts will be provided. This series of legislative forums is sponsored by the Fairfield Community School District, Jefferson County Farm Bureau, Jefferson County Farmers and Neighbors, Southeast Iowa Sierra Club and Freeman Kevenides Law Firm.
At the time of the press release, the following legislators are scheduled to attend: Rep. Jeff Shipley (Iowa House District 82), Sen. Rich Taylor (Iowa Senate District 42), Sen. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (Iowa Senate District 41), and Rep. Joe Mitchell (Iowa House District 84).
