MARJORIE COHAGAN
OTTUMWA-Marjorie B. Cohagan, 95, of Galesburg, IL, formerly of Ottumwa, died January 14, 2016 in Galesburg, IL.
She was born March 28, 1920 in Ottumwa to John E. and Mamie Worth Wilt. She married Kenneth L. Cohagan on April 30, 1941. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1999.
A 1939 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Marjorie lived for 3 years in Abingdon, IL before moving to Galesburg in 2009. She had worked at John Morrell & Co. for a brief time and Montgomery Ward for 12 years.
Marjorie was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, Burlington Northern Railroad Veterans Retirees and Auxiliary, a past President of Stuart School PTA in 1956, and a member of Moline Chapter #258 Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her children, Sharon (Bob) Lovern of Hampton, IL and Dennis (Bambi) Cohagan of New London, IA; four grandchildren, Cari (Aaron) Rohs, Brian Lovern, Shae Cohagan (Shane Engel), Jacob Cohagan; six great-grandchildren, Brianna (Clint), Chase, Nevaeh, Alexis, Cheyne and Seth; a great-great-grandchild, Carter.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Champ and a brother, William “Bill” Wilt.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Bill Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
