Come to Bonaparte on Saturday, February 13, 2016, and “Let’s Wine about Winter” together over dinner, drinks, and music.  Bonaparte Main Street invites you to partake at the Whiteley Opera House located at 614 First Street in Bonaparte, Iowa.  Doors open at 5:30 and the sit down meal will begin promptly at 6:00 with music afterwards.  There is limited seating so reservations are required.

A great opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day, this annual candlelight event will include a three course meal:  tossed salad of veggies and poppy seed dressing, sesame pork with garlic cream sauce, party potatoes, scalloped corn, homemade rolls and butter, and chocolate angel dessert.

Music will be provided by Joyful Sounds of Burlington, Iowa.  Karen and Don Brownlee have been sharing music of joy for 25 years and will present a program “Heart to Heart” for our audience.  Dan’s Dancin’ Beats are brought to us on the acoustic or electric guitar while Karen on the Keys provides a full orchestra or piano accompaniment and occasionally adds a fiddle or violin.  Many favorite tunes and interaction with the audience.

East Grove Farms will provide wine tasting and wine for sale to drink with your meal or to take home.  East Grove Farms specialize in organically grown alternative crops such as elderberries, aronia berries, and other native heirloom fruits and are situated on Iowa’s oldest continuously settled farm established by Joel C. Garretson in 1837.
