Davis County senior guard Cami Guiter signed a letter of intent Wednesday to continue her basketball career at Central College in Pella. The 3rd-year varsity player has established herself as the Mustangs’ top 3-point threat this season.
So far this year, Guiter has hit 15 shots from beyond the arc for Davis County; no other Mustang has made more than three. She averages 6.6 points per game, and also has 16 steals. Guiter made her varsity debut as a sophomore, hitting 14 treys that season and 18 treys as a junior. In both of those seasons, she was Davis County’s 2nd outside option behind Shelby Graves.
Central College is coached by Chelsea Peterson, who’s in her second season. The Dutch are 9-5 so far this year.
Davis County is 6-6 so far this season, 5-3 in the South Central Conference. The Mustangs play back-to-back games this weekend, hosting Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Friday night and traveling to Van Buren on Saturday.
