BLOOMFIELD, IA – The Davis County Community School District has announced that a student-athlete has tested positive for COVID-19. The School District released a statement on the matter Wednesday after the positive test was confirmed.
Upon this notification, Davis County conducted contact tracing, which has identified a few other students who have been asked to quarantine for a period of time as recommended by CDC based on their potential exposure. All students, and their parents, who may have been exposed were contacted yesterday and are taking necessary action at this time.
The School District also stated that they will continue working closely with Public Health as issues arise, and they will follow the CDC protocols and guidelines established to help reduce spread of COVID-19. No further information was released in regards to the student who was affected.
