Preparations are being made for a mass vaccination clinic this weekend in Ottumwa.
Governor Kim Reynolds announced in a press conference last week as of Monday, April 5th, vaccinations for COVID-19 will be available to all Iowans.
Wapello County Public Health says it has 500 doses of the Moderna vaccine and can administer it to any residents 18 years of age or older. A community clinic will be held on Saturday, April 10th at Evans Middle School starting at 9:00 AM and will last until all of the doses are gone.
Individuals that receive the vaccine on Saturday must keep May 8th open on their calendars. Wapello County Public Health says the Moderna vaccine requires two doses and a follow-up clinic will be held in May so residents can get their second shot.
Appointments can be made by going online to wapelloready.org.
