The Cardinal Comets fell to the Central Lee Hawks 2-0

The Hawks would break through for the deciding runs in the top of the sixth inning. The runs would come into score after an error had the second batter of the sixth on for the Hawks. Later in the inning they would tally three hits and drive in two runs to lead 2-0 going to the bottom of the sixth. Both pitchers would retire the side in order in the bottom of the sixth and top of the seventh. The Comets would see a couple of runners get on in the seventh but would not score as the Hawks went on to win 2-0

Comet Softball Head Coach Sabrina Morrison said after the loss, “Keep pounding hard girls, the hits are going to start falling into the gaps. Goals are attained not by strength but by perseverance.”
