Cincinnati, IA Man Charged With Burglary

A Cincinnati man is facing burglary charges following a report of a suspicious person.

According to a press release from Wapello County Sheriff Don Phillips, on April 21, 2022 at 5:46 am Wapello County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a suspicious male subject sitting on the hood of a vehicle in the ditch on 230th Ave north of Bluegrass Road. A Deputy responded but was unable to locate the subject. A citizen stopped and told the Deputy he had given two male subjects a ride to Blakesburg. Deputies located the two subjects and initiated an investigation.


As a result of the investigation deputies arrested 41 year old John Paul Miller Age of Cincinnati, IA and charged him with 3rd Degree Burglary (Class D Felony), 3rd Degree Theft from Auto (Aggravated Misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass (both Simple Misdemeanors). Miller is currently in the Wapello County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
