Bulldog Baseball Works to Make Up Lost Games

The opening week for the Ottumwa High baseball team could only be described as frustrating, not because of results on the field, but rather the inability to even take the field for games.  OHS was rained out on what should have been opening night in Centerville on Tuesday, and the weather also wiped out Friday’s home game against Fairfield.  The Bulldogs’ only two games of the opening week were the Wednesday losses in a doubleheader at Ankeny.

OHS was only scheduled to play once this week, a Wednesday doubleheader at Waukee, but two of this week’s open dates have become make-up dates.  Ottumwa will host Centerville Monday night in a JV/Varsity doubleheader, and then make up the Fairfield JV/Varsity twinbill on Friday.  The Friday varsity game, as well as the Wednesday games at Waukee, will be broadcast on 1240 KBIZ.
