Area Chamber Announces New Executive Director

By Aaryn Frazier, July 10, 2018

Shea Greiner has been hired as the new Executive Director for Ottumwa Area Chamber of Commerce (OACC).

She has taken the position after Connie Hammersley-Wilson stepped down. Greiner worked at Ottumwa Radio in sales as well as J & S Electronic Business Systems, and her start date in the chamber is July 23rd.

“I am looking forward to growing membership,” said Greiner. “We have seen a decline in the past years, and I want to see  more activity with the community.”

T.J Heller, OACC CEO said Greater Ottumwa Partners in Progress and Ottumwa Area Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce Shea Greiner as the new Executive Director.

“Shea brings a wealth of sales and marketing experience to the Chamber, which our members will tremendously benefit from,” said Heller. “ I am excited to have Shea’s leadership and energy on our team and look forward to seeing Shea take the OACC to the next level, much like her predecessor did.”

He also mentioned how she led community events and business promotion campaigns, including MLE (Major League Eating) Contest, Ottumwa Symphony Guild,  and 4-H.

“I just want to improve on what we already have. Things like the rodeo, maybe bringing back the home show and making Holiday Nights and Lights a bigger and better event,” Greiner said. “I’m very excited. I believe in Ottumwa and this partnership will better for everyone. I want to be more actively involved than I already am.”
