Ardath Teeter

Ardath Lorraine Goodwin Teeter, 89, of Largo, FL and formerly of Eldon, IA passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in Alamogordo, NM after a short illness. Her body has been cremated. A memorial service in her honor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the Cranston Family Funeral Home in Eldon, IA with Pastor Mark Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Eldon Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Cranston Family Funeral Home and last until the time of service. Ardath Lorraine Goodwin was born October 29, 1929 to Glen Earnest Goodwin and Lorene Victoria Fite in rural Davis County. She attended Davis County Schools and Batavia High School. She married Clyde Edward Teeter on September 20, 1947. Ardath was a member of the Lions Club and helped with Girl and Boy Scouts. She loved to bake and listen to country western music. She was an avid fisherman. Clyde and Ardath had many vacations together fishing in Minnesota. Together, Clyde and Ardath ran an outboard motor business in Eldon for many years.

Ardath is survived by two children, Nina (Doug) Pauls of Ottumwa, IA and Randy (Kathy) Teeter of Alamagordo, NM; four sisters, Martilla (Marvin) Whitmore of Batavia, IA, Carol (Paul) Yochum of Agency, IA, Mary (Howard) Carruthers of Ottumwa, IA, and Dixie (Richard) Shark of Ottumwa, IA; one brother, Glenn Dean Goodwin of Ottumwa, IA; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four stepgreat grandchildren, as well as many extended family and friends.

Ardath was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clyde; a son, Darrell and an infant son, Richard; as well as one brother, Wallace Goowin.
