Alexis Shelby Miller, 29, of Drakesville, died at 8:35 p.m. August 28, 2022 at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.
She was born March 22, 1993 in Ottumwa to Verlin Alan and Tara Allana Morris Miller.
A 2011 graduate of Davis County High School, Alexis had attended the Iowa School of Beauty. She had worked at Optimae, had provided private in-home care and also provided transportation for the Amish community.
Alexis enjoyed taking her dogs to the dog park and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are her parents, Verlin and Tara Miller of rural Bloomfield; her sisters, Allison (Oleg) Bezorudko-Chyrykalov of California and Ashly (Cody) Sampson of Albia; a nephew, Burklee; a niece, Renlee; her boyfriend, Matt Searcy; and her fur babies, Brutus, Winston and Turbo.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Kenneth and M. Colleen Miller; grandmother, Carla Holton Barker; great-great-aunt, Ruby Holton and great-grandfather, Percy Holton.
Her body has been cremated and services are not planned at this time.
