In preparation for the upcoming November 5th elections, Davis County officials have announced that absentee ballots are now available.
The absentee ballots can be picked up at the auditor’s office inside the Davis County courthouse, and voters may vote early at the auditor’s office from now through Monday, November 4th. Ballot pick-up and early voting takes place during the courthouse’s regular office hours of 8:00-4:00, Monday through Friday.
If Davis County residents would like absentee ballots mailed to them, a request has to be made in writing no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, October 25th. Request forms can be found on the auditor’s page of the Davis County website, www.daviscountyiowa.org. Completed forms should be mailed to the Davis County Auditor’s Office, 100 Courthouse Square, Suite 2, Bloomfield, IA 52537.
The auditor’s office will pay the postage for all ballots returned by mail. Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked prior to midnight, Monday, November 4th. Ballots may also be delivered to the Davis County Auditor’s Office before the polls close at 8:00 pm on Election Day.
