EDDYVILLE, IA – William Penn University Athletics, along with Ottumwa Radio Group, want to congratulate Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Junior High track & field athletes Kate and Molly Shafer, our 97.7 TOM-FM Athletes of the Week!
Our TOM-FM Athletes of the Week are sisters Kate and Molly Shafer, of Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont! The Shafer twins broke a pair of long-standing Junior High school records at Tuesday’s Pekin Quad: Kate Shafer in the open 400 (1:03), held by Liz Newman since 1990, and Molly Shafer in the 200 hurdles (29.69), held by Brittany Lourens since 2001.
Our TOM-FM Athlete of the Week program is made possible thanks to the generosity of William Penn University, and the cooperation of our area schools. This is a great accomplishment and one to be very proud of. Please join us in congratulating both Kate Shafer and Molly Shafer! All of us at Ottumwa Radio Group wish you continued success in your athletic and educational endeavors.
