OSKALOOSA, IA – William Penn University Athletics, along with Ottumwa Radio Group, want to congratulate William Penn baseball player Tanner Bedier, our 97.7 KOTM-FM Athlete of the Week!
The junior has been selected as the Heart of America Athletic Conference’s nominee for the NAIA’s A.O. Duer Award. The award is given to a junior student-athlete in any sport who has excelled in scholarship, character, and citizenship. In his three years as a Statesmen, Bedier owns a .396 batting average with 11 home runs, 86 RBI, and 91 runs scored. He is a three-time letter winner and was a first-team all-Heart pick this past season. Bedier is also a tremendous student, boasting a 4.0 Grade Point Average, while also serving as a member of William Penn University’s Association of Student-Athletes. He is also active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and one-time Heart Scholar-Athlete.
