Two southeast Iowa teenagers were thrown off a vehicle resulting in one death and an injury late Friday night.
At 11:44 PM, the Iowa State Patrol says a Ford pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Cleveland Street in New London. Two juveniles, Gavin Browning, 16, and Graden Weber, 16, were riding in the truckbed without restraints.
The accident report states for an unknown reason, the truck took a sudden turn down Adams Street causing the two teens to be ejected from the vehicle.
Browning was pronounced dead at the scene. Weber was injured and transported to the hospital. His current status is unknown.
In a Facebook post, the New London Community School District confirmed Browning was a New London High School Student. The district says that starting Monday, counselors will be made available to students.
