An Ottumwa man allegedly burglarized a vehicle and used the stolen credit card at Bubba-Q’s.

35-year-old Jonathan Johnson was charged with 3rd degree burglary – vehicle, 5th degree theft – other means under $300, and credit card fraud under $1,500.

On September 8 between 12:30 and 12:43 p.m, court records say Johnson entered an unlocked vehicle on Albia Road. According to authorities, Johnson stole the individual’s wallet, debit cards, identification card, and a backpack. Officers say Johnson fled the area on the victim’s bike.

Court records say Johnson went to Bubba-Q’s on 1110 North Quincy Avenue and spent $230 on the victim’s credit card.

Johnson was transported to the Wapello County Jail. His preliminary hearing was waived and he has a $4,000 bond.
